Account and Data Deletion

What permanent deletion means, what is separate from deletion, and how the request process will work.

Current deletion status

  • Members and coaches can review deletion from Profile; final submission stays unavailable until release requirements are approved.
  • A deletion operation must cover the Lyrafit account and associated personal data, not only disable access.
  • Deletion automatically cancels coach renewal. Direct member-to-coach debts and refunds remain separate.
  • This page must be updated and the full process tested before it is used for a mobile-store submission.

Current availability

Members and coaches can open Account deletion from Profile and choose Review account deletion. The final deletion command is available only when the service is enabled and its retention and provider requirements have been approved. Administrator account deletion is not included in this process.

If deletion is temporarily unavailable, email support@lyra.fit from the email address associated with your account. Use the subject "Account deletion request". Do not send a password, authentication code, private message, programme, or health information.

Before enabling requests, Lyrafit must confirm that this inbox is monitored, assign an accountable owner, approve retention and provider limits, and verify fulfilment, operator alerts and completion notices.

What permanent deletion means

When a request is accepted, account access stops immediately. Lyrafit then removes the account and associated personal data through background cleanup. This cannot be undone and there is no recovery period. Acceptance does not mean that all cleanup is complete.

Deletion is different from:

  • Signing out, which ends access on one device.
  • Closing a connection, which keeps its history.
  • Unpublishing a coach profile, which hides but does not erase it.
  • Cancelling a subscription, which stops future renewal but keeps the account.
  • Deactivation, which pauses access. Deactivation is not permanent deletion.

Request, verification, and confirmation

  1. Review: read the consequences for account access, shared history, meetings, coach renewal and restricted records.
  2. Confirm: choose Continue to confirmation, acknowledge that access cannot be restored, and choose Permanently delete account.
  3. Verify: if required, complete the supported account-ownership verification. Cancelling verification does not submit the deletion request.
  4. Accept: a successful response confirms that the request was accepted. Lyrafit signs you out and shows a static receipt. A direct visit or refresh cannot show the request's status.
  5. Complete: Lyrafit removes the required data and cancels pending work. We will try to email you when deletion is complete. If a provider cannot complete a required step, cleanup stays pending for support.

If the response is lost, the request may have been accepted. Do not submit another request to check it. Contact support. The website has no public deletion-status page or recovery action.

Information in scope

The process covers:

  • the account, profile, preferences, and uploaded profile media;
  • the public coach profile, marketplace listing, and associated reviews;
  • connections, direct messages, goals, check-ins, and read state;
  • programme templates, programmes, all versions, and discussions;
  • meetings, reminders, calendar events, and Google Calendar authorisation;
  • direct payment requests and instructions stored in Lyrafit;
  • notifications and targeted email-delivery records;
  • attributable profile views, product events, and analytics records; and
  • coach subscription, billing, promotion, support, verification, moderation, and personal audit records, subject to approved restricted exceptions.

Shared personal coaching history becomes unavailable to both participants, including already-open views. This includes conversations, programmes, discussions, goals/check-ins, meeting details and payment records. Ordinary product and administrator browsing does not provide an archive of deleted personal content.

This process concerns data held by Lyrafit and its supported provider cleanup. As explained in the Privacy Policy, a coach can separately collect or use information outside Lyrafit and is responsible for that separate use. Deleting a Lyrafit account does not erase records held independently outside the platform.

Information that can be retained

Limited records may remain only under approved retention rules, with a specific purpose, restricted access, and a defined expiry or objective deletion rule.

For Lyrafit's Stripe subscription payments and refunds, we keep restricted accounting dates, amounts, currency and invoice/payment/refund references until five years after the relevant UK tax year's 31 January filing deadline. These records do not contain your profile, messages, programmes, account identifier or payment instructions. Provider references can still be linked to financial records held by Stripe. The records are not available through ordinary product or administrator pages and are removed by scheduled expiry cleanup. Direct member-to-coach payment requests are erased from Lyrafit; they are not Lyrafit's revenue records. Any exceptional legal hold requires its own documented reason and review.

Provider-managed records, execution history and backup copies have limits that ordinary application deletion cannot override. Exact retention, backup expiry and restoration rules must be verified and approved before requests are enabled. No unapproved period is stated here. Restricted retained data must not remain available for ordinary product or administrator browsing.

Subscriptions and payments

For a coach, deletion automatically cancels future platform subscription renewal. You do not need to cancel through a billing portal first. If required cancellation cannot be completed, deletion stays pending for support.

Account deletion does not settle a payment between a member and coach or issue a refund. The member and coach remain responsible for their agreement, invoices, refunds, taxes, and disputes, and should keep records that they lawfully need before confirming deletion. Removing a payment record from Lyrafit does not cancel an independent payment obligation.

Future mobile-store readiness

Before an Android or iOS app with account creation is submitted, Lyrafit must provide an easy-to-find deletion path inside that app and keep this external page available without requiring an app reinstall.

The app, this page, the Privacy Policy, and store declarations must describe the same process. A temporary account freeze is not a substitute for deletion.

Other privacy requests

If you want to correct information, obtain a copy, object to a use, or ask about retention without deleting the whole account, read the Privacy Policy or email legal@lyra.fit.
